About Adaya
When I was young and starting my romantic adventures, I would call my father, who lived far away, and tell him about who I was dating.
One time he gave me a response I hadn’t heard before. After sharing about someone I had been seeing for a while, my father said, “I like this one.”
I asked him, how does he know? He had never met this man.
His answer has stayed with me until today: “I can see who you become next to him.”
That moment helped spark a lifelong inquiry into what I now think of as the lost art of relationships: how our connections reveal who we are, who we might become, and how they offer a path to healing and transformation.
Today, I bring over 20 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist (MFT #48466), educator, lifelong meditation practitioner, and partnership with my husband of over 30 years – among many other influences I’ve been fortunate to learn from – and have brought this together in my work as a relationship specialist.
We live in exceptional times where each of us can discover our self and our path through our relationships. And our most intimate relationships, in particular, provide a mirror and a measure that reveals the truth and a road to new possibilities in extraordinary ways. I’m here to help you find this.
Remember…you do not need to come in as a couple to transform your relationship possibilities. Even though it takes two to create a pattern, it only takes one to change it.
