About Adaya
When I was young and starting my romantic adventures –which were full of dramatic ups and downs–my father would teasingly ask me:
“So… does this one have a big club or does he have a big cave?”
(He’s always had a way with metaphors that kept me on my toes)
Essentially, you can get knocked out and see stars, falling crazily full of desire for someone, or you can enjoy sweet cozy home-making togetherness.
It was probably around then that I discovered my deep passion and interest in what I call the lost art of relationships. I began exploring how we balance our human need for intimacy and security, with our desire for excitement and autonomy. It’s a journey that often includes healing patterns around trust, learning to communicate and co-regulate, and discovering the hidden opportunity in the particular challenges that appear.
Over 30 years later, I now draw on my experience as a licensed psychotherapist (mft#48466), educator, lifelong meditation practice, and partnership with my husband of over 27 years – among many other influences I’ve been fortunate to learn from – and have brought it to my work as a relationship specialist.
We live in exceptional times where each of us can discover our self and our path through our relationships. And our most intimate relationships, in particular, provide a mirror and a measure that reveals the truth and the road to new possibilities in extraordinary ways. I’m here to help you find this.
Remember…you do not need to come in as a couple to transform your relationship possibilities. Even though it takes two to create a pattern, it only takes one to change it.
